BIO SAFETY CABINETS

biosafety cabinet vertical laminar airflow

Bio Safety a.k.a. Biological Safety cabinets helps protect its operator from any kind of harmful contaminations. Biosafety cabinet comes in different types among which Class I, Class II Type A1, A2, B1, B2, Class III. The efficient HEPA filters in our Cabinet eradicate toxic contamination out of the system before the air is released.

Class I biological safety cabinets bring safety for the operator as well as protect its environment but the product will be exposed to expected conditions. Class-I BSCs come with either ducted or non-ducted designs with fume hoods.

Class II Biological safety cabinets bring protection for the operator, environment as well as product ensures maximum safety. Class-II BSCs provide a safe space that is completely free from bacteria (sterile).  HEPA filter provides laminar airflow over the product.

Rainbow scientific offers certified biological safety cabinets at the most affordable price.

Class II, Type A2 Cabinets (formerly designated Type B3)

Average inflow velocity – 100 ft/min. (0.5 m/s)

Filtered air for environmental protection

Laminar airflow (Unidirectional)

Motor Blower

Class II Type B1 Cabinets

Biosafety Class II type B1 cabinets preserve least required average inflow velocity of 100 ft./min. (0.5m/s) via its work access opening.

HEPA filtered downflow air organized widely of uncontaminated re-circulated inflow air;   This system extracts contaminated downflow air through a dedicated duct system to the outlet after passing through the HEPA filter.

Biologically contaminated ducts and plenums that are under negative pressure or surrounded by negative pressure ducts and plenums.

Class II Type B2 Cabinets (sometimes referred to as “total exhaust”)

Biosafety Class II Type B2 cabinets protect the operator from harmful exposure of contaminated materials or testing samples.  These ventilated cabinets are covered on all three sides to create positive pressure and to reduce risk in handling.  Department of Microbiology, Pathogen research, toxicology, and chemists use Type B2 cabinets to ensure maximum safety.

Airflow setup efficiently provides 0% Air Recirculation

Higher chemical resistance due to its high-quality material construction

Class III Biosafety Cabinet

The maximum protection you would expect from a Biosafety cabinet will be provided by the Class III Biosafety cabinets.  To ensure maximum safety BSC Type III associates a glove box to handle the testing sample. The sample testing cabinet will be under negative pressure, whereas the supply laminar air is provided by the HEPA filters.
